Gea – brand name  

In 1991, Tovarna olja introduced a new range of premium quality oils under a brand name Gea. Through market research among Slovene buyers, when asked to choose a suitable brand name for the oils out of a choice of 30 different proposals, the public chose GEA because of its suitable association with health and nature.
Because of its suitability as the epitome of our products, GEA not only became the brand name for our premium edible oil range, it also became part of the company name in the same year - Tovarna olja became Tovarna olja GEA.
